Sparkline Formatting

You can customize how you want your Sparkline to look using the multiple formatting and styling options provided.

Properties

  • Hide columnin sidebar - Hides the Sparklin column in the sidebar.

  • Hide header name - Hides the name of the column in the SuperTables view.

  • Column header alignment - Horizontally aligns the header text.

  • Header tooltip - A custom tooltip you can create for the header.

URL Action

Entering a URL will allow users to click any cell in this column to open a new tab in their web browser. You can refer to any other value from the same row of data by wrapping the field name with angle brackets. You can of course also use a dynamically calculated field that contains a dynamic URL based on the content of that specific row of data. With this, you can set URL parameters to open a dashboard that has already been filtered on specific column values in your selection.

Sparkline styling

This is where you can assign a color to the unique properties of a Sparkline or where you can create a marker to show a data point. The styling options are unique to each type of Sparkline as these are explained below:

  • Fill styling - The color of the area highlight.

  • Missing-data connection - Toggles the option to connect broken area segments when there is a missing data point.

  • Marker styling - These are customizable points drawn at each data value point. You can choose the shape of the marker, it's size, stroke width, fill color and stroke color.

General Sparkline styling

These settings are applicable to all Sparkline types.

  • Domain overrides - These are min/max values defined for the y-axis field.

  • Stroke styling - You can choose the global stroke color and stroke width of a Sparkline.

  • Highlight styling - Customizes the highlight styling such as fill color, stroke width and stroke color when hovering over a data point.

  • Padding - Defines the top, bottom, left and right padding around the sparkline chart in respect to its cell.
