Popup

Sometimes you need an instance of your WriteBackExtreme extension in a dashboard but you don’t want it to take up valuable dashboard space.

If you choose the popup mode, WriteBackExtreme will after a reload change into a button on the dashboard. You can show WriteBackExtreme by either clicking on the button or selecting a datapoint in the connected worksheet.

Collapsing Container

The collapsing container allows you to hide/show WriteBackExtreme in a Tableau Container. Based on selecting a datapoint in the connected worksheet WriteBackExtreme will show/hide.

  1. Create a new container (Either Horizontal or Vertical)

  2. Place the new container anywhere in dashboard area where you want to show the WriteBackExtreme extension. The container can also be floating.

  3. Drag the Extension container to the new container

  4. Adjust the size of the container to meet your lay-out wishes

  5. Open the configuration screen of the extension and on the first tab select “Collapsing Container”

  6. Select the newly created Vertical (or Horizontal) container

  7. Press the “Save” button on the top of the modal configuration window

  8. Once the settings are stored close the configuration window and ‘Reload’ the extension for the changes to take effect.
