PreviousError 401NextUnable to access WriteBackExtreme Management Console.

Last updated 7 days ago

Cause: Some extensions (like WriteBackExtreme) require access to 3rd-party cookies to function properly, especially when running inside Tableau Online or in embedded dashboards.

Symptoms:

  • The extension fails to load or appears blank

  • No interaction or data appears in the extension window

Resolution: Make sure 3rd-party cookies are enabled in your browser.

How to enable:

  • Follow the instructions in our step-by-step GIF:

  • You can also check your browser’s settings under:

    • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies

    • Edge: Settings → Site Permissions → Cookies and site data

    • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection

🔐 Enabling 3rd-party cookies does not compromise your data security. Extensions run securely inside Tableau and follow GDPR-compliant practices.
