# Dropdown menus not working on Mac?

**Cause:**\
This is due to a known bug in the **Tableau Extensions API** affecting how dropdown menus behave specifically on **macOS**.

**Symptoms:**

* Dropdowns within the extension do not open or respond to mouse clicks
* Users are unable to change dropdown values using the trackpad or mouse

**Resolution:**\
As a workaround, use your **keyboard arrow keys** along with the **Tab key** to navigate and change values in the dropdown menus.

> 🛠️ This issue is on Tableau’s side and may be resolved in future API updates.
