Why do Viz Extensions work in Tableau Desktop but not on Tableau Server?

Cause: Viz Extensions are only officially supported in Tableau version 2024.2 or higher.

Symptoms:

• Extension works as expected in Tableau Desktop

• Extension fails to load or function in Tableau Server (e.g., version 2023.3.9)

Resolution: Update your Tableau Server to version 2024.2 or later to ensure full support for Viz Extensions.
