# Windows

Download the zip file from the portal to the machine. In the zip file is a `WritebackExtreme.exe` file that needs to be **extracted** to a proper location. Like C:/Writeback-extreme/ for example.

In case of upgrading, the .exe file needs to be copied to the directory where the current installation is.

Run the `WritebackExtreme.exe` as administrator to start the installation.

When the application GUI has been started continue to the next step:
