There are plenty of features once you have configured your HierarchyFilter that can help you get the most value in your Dashboards.
Traversing the hierarchy
Once you have configured your HierarchyFilter you will see your chosen Dimensions in the tree. You can open items in the tree by clicking the ">" button. This will show all children of the opened item.
Filtering on the dashboard
Selecting any item in the tree will mark select that item including all its children. This will filter on the rest of the dashboard, showing you the relevant data.
Multi-selection
You can select multiple items in the tree at once by pressing command on mac or control on windows. You can see your current selection at the top of the tree.
Searching the hierarchy
You can use the search bar to quickly find items within the tree.
