Create a backup of the MailScheduler folder on your server. Also create a backup of your (repository or default) database.
Upgrading after 5.0
When upgrading from version 5.0 to the newest version, simply run the installer, and it will automatically determine where MailScheduler is currently installed:
By default, the installer upgrades the existing installation, in the same location as where you had it installed previously.
