# Semantic model refreshing

WriteBackExtreme can refresh a **Power BI semantic model** after data has been written back.

To enable this functionality, **Power BI SSO must first be configured**.

#### Setup

1. Ensure **Power BI SSO** is configured ([see *Power BI SSO setup*](https://docs.infotopics.com/writebackextreme/features/power-bi-extension/authentication/power-bi-sso-setup)).
2. Open the **WriteBackExtreme configuration**.
3. Go to **Worksheet-schema -> General** tab
4. In **Refresh options**, select the **datasource (semantic model)** that should be refreshed after writeback operations.

WriteBackExtreme will now trigger a **Power BI dataset refresh using the Power BI API** after changes are submitted.
