Filtering

Use global filters and filtered images in VizSlides to keep slides, dashboards, and images in sync when filtering data.

Using Filters on Images in VizSlides

To filter images in VizSlides, start by adding a dashboard image to a slide. Once the image is placed, open the Images panel and select the image you want to work with.

Next, enable filtering for the image by linking it to an existing filter. When the filter value changes, VizSlides updates the image automatically to reflect the selected data context. This allows images to respond dynamically to filters in the presentation.

Filtering images makes it possible to keep visual elements aligned with the data shown on the slide, ensuring that images update together with dashboards and other filtered content.

Global filters

Using Global Filters in VizSlides

To use global filters in VizSlides, start by adding a filter to one of your slides. Once the filter is available, configure it as a Global Filter so it can be reused across the presentation.

After enabling the global filter, the same filter becomes accessible on all slides that are connected to the same data source. When you change the filter value, VizSlides automatically applies the selection to every slide where the global filter is used.

This allows you to control multiple slides with a single filter, ensuring consistent filtering and reducing the need to manage separate filters per slide. Global filters are especially useful when presenting or exploring data across multiple views while keeping the context aligned.

Using Parameters

Within the global filters of VizSlides, it is also possible to interact with parameters! To filter on a parameter, make sure Filter (single) mode is selected.
