# Analytics

Analytics is a workspace for building, sharing, and viewing interactive data apps. Use it to bring dashboards, visualizations, and business data together in one place so teams can explore information and make informed decisions.

Analytics is available to users with **the Analytics Viewer** or **Analytics Creator** rol&#x65;**.** Creating and editing apps requires the **Analytics Creator** rol&#x65;**.**&#x20;

To get started with Analytics, create your first app by pressing the **Create app** button in the top right.&#x20;

If you see the following message on the home screen, make sure a [semantic model](/trulyp/data/semantic-modeling.md) has been created and is available to your team first.
