# Tooltips

Format your link and node tooltip using short codes and/or free text. You will see the available shortcodes listed. The display in the box shows how they appear in your tooltip. It has the same formatting options as the labels; refer to [Labels](/showmemore/features/sankey-diagram/text-formatting/labels.md) and [Measures](/showmemore/features/sankey-diagram/text-formatting/measures.md) for more information.
