# Gauge chart
The **Gauge Chart** is a KPI-style visualisation that helps users show progress toward a target or within a fixed range. It is useful for displaying performance values such as sales vs target, completion rate, score, utilisation, or any other metric where a quick visual status check is helpful.
A gauge can be shown as a semi-circle, full-circle, speedometer, or traffic-light style chart, making it flexible for both compact KPI dashboards and more visual scorecards.
