General setings

On the configuration page, many different settings of the Mailscheduler application can be configured. The first page in the settings is the 'general' configuration.

Options

Page size

Default page size for reports and exports. Options include A3, A4, B5, Legal, etc. The page size is overridable per view in a task, this sets the default option.

Overview Preference

Default view style for overview pages. Options include Cards and Table.

Tableau Max Age

Maximum cache age of a Tableau report in minutes. Higher values improve performance but reduce data freshness.

Tableau Concurrency

Number of parallel requests to Tableau server. Higher values improve performance but may overload the server. This only affects performance if you are downloading multiple PDF files within a task, otherwise it does not have any effect.

Tableau API Version

Tableau REST API version. Use a specific version for compatibility with your Tableau server. https://help.tableau.com/current/api/rest_api/en-us/REST/rest_api_concepts_versions.htm#version_and_restarrow-up-right

Backoff

Comma-separated time in seconds between failed requests. For example, "60,180,320" means the first retry waits 60 seconds, the second 180, and the third 320.

Tries

Amount of times a task is retried.

Disable local storage

Wether local storage, the saving of PDF's to the local disk, should be disabled entirely.

SSL Verification

Enable ssl verification for requests done through cURL to the Slack API.

Skip Excel attachments when crosstab is empty

When enabled, MailScheduler will skip sending Excel attachments for views that return an empty crosstab instead of failing the task. Please note that this currently only works in English and Dutch versions of Tableau.
