# Column Groups Pane

In this section, you can create and configure column groups in Finance Tables.

Column groups allow you to organize multiple columns under one shared group header.

### **Make a column group**

* **Make a column group:** Add a new column group.

#### **Column group name**

* **Column group name:** Define the name of the group.

#### **Group header styling**

The group header can be styled separately from the columns inside the group.

#### **Add column to group**

Use the column selector to add columns to the group.

#### **Open / close behaviour**

Columns inside a group can be configured to show as open or closed in the table.
