# IBCS-scale-abbreviations

This section allows you to configure the abbreviations used for precision scaling in Finance Tables.

These labels are used in the column header menu when values are scaled.

**Scale abbreviations**

* **K:** Abbreviation used for thousands.
* **M:** Abbreviation used for millions.
* **B:** Abbreviation used for billions.
* **T:** Abbreviation used for trillions.

You can customize these values to match your language or reporting standard. For example, in German you may prefer `Tsd` instead of `K`.
