# License management

When your license expires, you’ll need to acquire a new one by contacting your **Apps for Tableau representative (**&#x73;<ales@appsfortableau.com>).

Once you’ve received your updated license, you can apply it in **one of two ways**:

#### 1. Automatically fetch license *(Online only)*

1. Open the **Extensions Manager** and navigate to the **Product Overview**.
2. Locate the product with the expired license.
3. Click **Restart**.

The product will automatically fetch the updated license, and the product will use the **new updated license.**

#### 2. Manually upload the (updated) license *(Offline only)*

1. Download your (new) license file (`license.lic`) from the **AFT Company Portal**:\
   <https://my-appsfortableau.infotopics.com/>
2. In the **Extensions Manager**, navigate to the relevant product in the **Product Overview**.
3. **Stop** the running product.
4. Click **Manually upload license file** and select the new `license.lic`.
5. **Start** the product again.

Once restarted, the product will reflect the (**new) license**
