# Dowloading TREX files

There are **two ways** to download a `.trex` file:

### 1. From the TREX overview page (Public Access)

The **TREX Overview Page** provides a simple way for any user to download `.trex` files directly.

1. Navigate to your ExtensionsManager’s configured **base URL** (e.g. `yourdomain.com`).
2. Scroll through the list of available extensions.
3. Click **Download TREX** next to the desired product.
4. Choose between Viz Extension or Dashboard extenion TREX file.

> This option is ideal for users or teams who only need the `.trex` file to integrate a product into their Tableau dashboards, but don't need acces to the whole ExtensionsManager

### 2. From the admin panel (Authenticated access)

For administrators or developers who have access to the Extensions Manager’s admin environment:

1. Log in to your **ExtensionsManager**.
2. Open the **Admin Panel**.
3. Locate the desired product (e.g. SuperTables, PowerKPIs, etc.).
4. Click **Download TREX** to get the `.trex` file.
5. Choose between Viz Extension or Dashboard extenion TREX file.

> The admin download option is **only available to authenticated users** and allows management of internal or licensed versions of the extensions.
